The process of Reiki is simple. The Reiki practitioner touches (or hovers) the ailing person with their palms (based on a comfort level discussed beforehand). The areas on the body in which the healer focuses on are called Chakras. The healer is lead to clear any energy blocks through intuition and utilizing Reiki Symbols mentally to help the clearing process along. Using crystals during a session may also be used. Balances can be addressed either by removing energy or infusing energy. The appropriate Reiki Symbols will be applied. Stagnant energy will be broken up and ushered along its way.

The transfer of positive energy (channeled through the practitioner from universal energy) is done by developing a channel of mutual and spiritual communication (primarily on the higher levels). This is why it is imperative that an exchange take place for the session (barter or monetarily). The act of giving and receiving sets the preface for a welcomed & stable interface for the healing to take place. Unfortunately we often are conditioned to believe that what is free should not somehow be as cherished. That is why bartering is a great idea for those who can not afford it in 2012!

In my opinion, Reiki is safe and an entirely natural method for pain management and neurological clarity.
